Numbers 11–100

The tens end in -zig (exception: dreißig). From 21 on, you say the unit first, then "und", then the ten.

Example: Ich bin einundzwanzig Jahre alt. (I am twenty-one years old.) Das kostet dreißig Euro. (That costs thirty euros.) Note: 21 is literally "one-and-twenty".
