Professions: vocabulary

Most job titles have a masculine and a feminine form. The feminine form usually takes the ending -in; with some words an umlaut is added as well (a → ä).

Example: Er ist Lehrer. (He is a teacher.) Sie ist Ärztin. (She is a doctor.)
