The comparative (regular)
The comparative (first degree of comparison) lets you compare two things. You add -er to the adjective and use the word "als" (than) for the comparison.

| billig | billiger (cheaper) |
| schön | schöner (nicer) |
If two things are equal, you use "so … wie" (as … as): Er ist so groß wie ich. (He is as tall as me.)
Example: Der Zug ist schneller als das Auto. (The train is faster than the car.)
Der Zug ist ___ als das Auto. (schnell)
