Metapher und Vergleich – C2 German Grammar

A metaphor transfers meaning figuratively without "like/as": "Die Zeit ist ein Dieb" (Time is a thief). A simile uses "wie" (like/as): "Er ist schnell wie der Wind" (He is fast as the wind).
