Word order: separable verbs and time
The conjugated verb stays in position 2, the prefix at the end. Time expressions go in between – usually right after the verb.

Example: Ich stehe täglich um sieben Uhr auf. (I get up at seven o'clock every day.)
Time expression first
If the sentence starts with the time, the verb is in position 2 and the subject follows: Täglich stehe ich um sieben Uhr auf.
In questions
- Yes/no: Stehst du früh auf?
- W-question: Wann stehst du auf?
Common mistakes
- ❌ Täglich ich stehe … auf. → ✅ Täglich stehe ich … auf.
- ❌ Ich stehe auf um sieben. → ✅ Ich stehe um sieben auf.
